The Deadly Snakes: Porcella
I was a big fan of The Deadly Snakes last effort entitled Ode to Joy, but their new album is big step beyond their "garage rock" influences. Porcella finds the Toronto band expanding on their unique sound by incorporating a string section on some of the tracks. The Snakes were more ambitious for this album and the result is a fantastic achievement
Check out Gore Veil from Porcella.

Posted by: at October 10, 2005 7:47 PMIf Larry buys the CD, will The Deadly Snakes come to Pittsburgh sometime?
Posted by: Matt at October 11, 2005 9:44 AMNow i'm in some quandry, do i buy the cd or do i let matt the music pirate burn it for me? according to my lord and master the flying spaghetti monster the world needs more pirates so maybe i should let matt burn it for me less he have nothing to pirate. then again if i buy the cd and the deadly snakes come to pittsburgh matt, i and the ten other people who actually like the band could go watch them play at some hole in the wall like gooski's or the 31st pub and they'll sound terrible or the indie rock kids will all show up and i'll pass out in the bathroom from excessive drug and alcohol intake. of course matt could bring his camera a pirate some photo's and then everything would be okay. but i still don't know if matt should burn the record for me or if i should buy it? i feel like winnie the pooh. christopher robin where are you?
