Sigur Ros - Takk
The Icelandic super group is back with a new album titled Takk. They went all out coming up with something better than (). The atmospheric sound is as great as it ever was and the Hopelandic lyrics are unintelligible as ever. They will be touring the US in September hitting the usual cities of New York, LA, Chicago, and Durham (huh?).

Sigur Rós is the best band in the UNIVERSE.... Because they are 100% Icelandic... yeah baby.....
They are the first band in a long time that Willing to do something completely diffrent and experiment with the music
Takk isn't in Hopelandic. It's in Icelandic. And they become clear if you listen close enough, long enough. That said, I haven't been able to figure them out completely yet. I did a full Takk track by track review if anyone wants to see it. It's at http://www.grapevine.is/?show=article&id=646&issue=

i'm sorry, but as good as it might be, sigur rós is -not- "the first band in a long time that Willing to do something completely diffrent and experiment with the music". none of these are favorite artists of mine (well, the a-frames are close to my heart), but they definitely push the boundaries.
Posted by: Eric at August 25, 2005 12:53 AMI accidentally ran into this website, and I just had to correct the the thing that Bart said. I'm actually from Iceland, and Sigur Rós is my favourite band. I love their new album, and I'm telling you guys, some of it is in Icelandic, and some is in Hopelandic!
Posted by: ElÃÂn at September 14, 2005 5:56 PMif that first person who wrote "GAY" all over the place does not understand the arts of Sigur Ros
