End It Already
Five days until this election is over. Almost everywhere I go I hear people talking about the "most important election of our lifetime." I have grown to hate politics with a passion and I'd prefer to make fun of the absurd process rather than participate in it. Here are a few stories from the last couple of days which I find entertaining:
- The Red Sox won the World Series and for some reason during the celebration
Curt Schilling took the opportunity to encourage everyone to vote. He went
one step further and endorsed President Bush. I'm sure that was the deciding factor for some ignorant Sox fan out there.
- Washington Redskins rookie Sean Taylor was asked about the upcoming election.
He replied with the following declaration, "I'm not following it very
closely...I'm not sure...Bush or Cheney...I'm not sure...I'm definitely voting
though." Less than a week before the election and he doesn't even know
who is running, but he is going to vote. Maybe P. Diddy's "Vote
or Die" campaign had an effect on him?
- A reported 80,000 showed up in Madison, Wisconsin today to watch John Kerry speak. Oh yeah, and Bruce Springsteen was there. He dedicated a song to Senator Kerry. It was magical.
I'm going to vote just so P Diddy doesn't pop a cap in my ass. Is Jesse Jackson running this year?

Posted by: hackmuth at October 29, 2004 11:23 AMI had heard Springsteen wanted to dedicate and sing "Me So Horny" to Kerry. Springsteen changed his mind after finding out that the song is used as intro music for all public appearances by Lynne Cheney.
