Fiery Furnaces @ ModernFormations

The show was fantastic. $8 for four really good bands. The Harangue, from Pittsburgh, is a band that I've seen before. They have some promise and I hope they catch a break. Not sure if they have any music that is properly released. Next came Charles Bissell (of The Wrens). He put on a faboulous solo show. He's a very talented guitar player. White Magic played a nice subdued set.

The Fiery Furnaces played a very unpredictable show. They sliced and spliced their songs into an hour long set that was non-stop. Very entertaining and very different from their studio releases. I'm glad they came to Pittsburgh.

He was i high i was there, there goes the candidacy, anyway dawgs, the harangue do show much promise and that cat from the wrens kicked ass, but that white magic band should be called whitetragicjazzcombodogshit, the chick looked like sissy "carrie" spacek and was so desperately cool and sad i was waiting for the pig's blood to fall from the rafters.

The fiery furnaces where absolutely mind boggling and not just because the eleanor friedburger is like a supersexy, young patty smith, in fact i'll say it right here right now, ELEANOR FREIDBURGER I THINK I LOVE YOU, but back to the show which was really a post modern mind fuck, i wish i had more drugs cuz i would of taken them on the spot, song hopping album hopping genre hopping goodness, super tight band and a stylish and tasteful dress on that eleanor woman, not even bacon and cheese omelettes or pork sandwiches beat that.
