PNC Park
Went to my first Pirate game of the season last night. It was a beautiful night for baseball. So why were there only 9,813 in attendance? The Pirates are not the best team in the league, but they are certainly not the worst. PNC Park is one of the best places to watch a game. Too bad the residents of Pittsburgh don't appreciate it. Check out that crowd! More photos.

Note: The 999 was not attempted.

Posted by: Mom at April 30, 2004 9:44 PM~it is quite depressing seeing so few in the stands...going head to head for fan support in a town ruled by the Steelers is tough...a great ballpark, the finest in my opinion of any other, with a so-so team on the field is tough for drawing fans...xlnt images, thnx for posting them.
*here's my favorite shot I took at PNC Park

Posted by: btezra at May 3, 2004 3:30 PMThe Pirates have opened up the season fairly strong the last couple of years, only to collapse by the time the All-Star break comes around. I think people are understandably skeptical.
Posted by: Jonathan Potts at May 7, 2004 4:05 PMI understand that the Pirates haven't had a winning record in 10+ years, but 9,813 is sad.
